Gustav Jacob Born (1851–1900) was a German histologist and author. He was the father of Max Born.

Hans-Joachim Born was a German radiochemist trained and educated at the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Institut für Chemie. Up to the end of World War II, he worked in Nikolaj Vladimirovich Timofeev-Resovskij's Abteilung für Experimentelle Genetik, at the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Institut für Hirnforschung. He was taken prisoner by the Russians at the close of World War II. After rescue from the Krasnoyarsk PoW camp, he initially worked in Nikolaus Riehl's group at Plant No. 12 in Elektrostal’, Russia, but at the end of 1947 was sent to work in Sungul' at a sharashka known under the cover name Ob’ekt 0211. At the Sungul' facility, he again worked in a biological research department under the direction of Timofeev-Resovskij. Upon arrival in East Germany in the mid-1950s, Born became the director of the Institut für Angewandte Isotopenforschung in Buch, Berlin. He also completed his Habilitation at the Technische Hochschule Dresden, where he then also became a professor on the Fakultät für Kerntechnik. In 1957, he received and accepted a call to become a professor of radiochemistry at the Technische Hochschule München in West Germany.

Petra Born is a German former ice dancer. With partner Rainer Schönborn, she was a three-time German national champion and the 1985 European bronze medalist. They placed 9th at the 1984 Winter Olympics. They represented the club ERCH Zweibrücken and later the club Würzburger ERV. Their coach was Martin Skotnicky.

Ignaz Edler von Born, also known as Ignatius von Born, was a mineralogist and metallurgist. He was a prominent freemason, being head of Vienna's Illuminati lodge and an influential anti-clerical writer. He was the leading scientist in the Holy Roman Empire during the 1770s in the age of Enlightenment.

Baron Ernst Viktor Lorenz von Born was a Finnish lawyer, farmer and politician. He served as Minister of the Interior from March 1931 to December 1932 and from December 1939 to May 1941, Minister without Portfolio in 1939 and Minister of Justice from 8 August to 17 November 1944. He was a member of the Parliament of Finland from 1919 to 1954, representing the Swedish People's Party of Finland (SFP). He was the chairman of the SFP from 1935 to 1945 and again from 1955 to 1956.
