Freddie H. Fu was a Hong Kong-American doctor and academic. He was the David Silver Professor and chairman of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. In 2010, he was appointed by the University of Pittsburgh as the eighth distinguished service professor. He died due to metastatic melanoma on 24 September 2021.

Robert Elwood Bly was an American poet, essayist, activist and leader of the mythopoetic men's movement. His best-known prose book is Iron John: A Book About Men (1990), which spent 62 weeks on The New York Times Best Seller list, and is a key text of the mythopoetic men's movement. He won the 1968 National Book Award for Poetry for his book The Light Around the Body.

Richard Harold Kirk was an English musician who specialised in electronic music since the 1970s. He was best known as a member of the influential industrial music band Cabaret Voltaire, formed in 1973. He subsequently released projects under his own name and as part of various groups, including Sweet Exorcist, in styles such as techno.

Theodore John Conrad was a bank teller who stole $215,000 in cash from the vault of a Cleveland bank in July 1969. He admitted to the crime but was never apprehended or convicted. He assumed the name of Thomas Randele and lived in Massachusetts for most of his life after the theft. Conrad avoided capture for more than five decades. Shortly after his death, his identity was discovered by the son of one of the original investigators using details from the obituary of Thomas Randele.

Merima Kurtiš, known professionally as Merima Njegomir, was a Serbian folk and sevdah singer. She began her career singing many interpretations of popular Bosnian folk songs, such as "Moj dilbere" and "Sejdefu majka buđaše", which gained her popularity across Serbia and former Yugoslavia. Her career, spanning over four decades, includes 24 albums, and songs in over 20 languages, such as Hungarian, Hebrew, Italian, Greek and Turkish.
