Sastry has garnered several awards including eleven state Nandi Awards and four Filmfare Awards South for his work. He has penned lyrics for over 3000 songs until 2020. In 2019, he was awarded the Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian award in India, for his contributions towards the field of arts and aesthetics.

She worked for the well-being of the wives, children and dependents of Army personnel. She was the wife of India's first Chief of Defense Staff Bipin Rawat. Rawat worked towards empowering army wives by teaching them life skills and prompting them to take courses, making them financially independent. She was also involved in other NGOs and welfare associations like Veer Naris which helps widows of military personnel, differently-abled children and cancer patients.

Raymond Kennedy was an English footballer who won every domestic honour in the game with Arsenal and Liverpool in the 1970s and early 1980s. Kennedy played as a forward for Arsenal, and then played as a left-sided midfielder for Liverpool. He scored 148 goals in 581 league and cup appearances in a 15-year career in the English Football League and also won 17 caps for England between 1976 and 1980, scoring three international goals.
