Med Hondo was a Mauritanian film director, producer, screenwriter, actor and voice actor. He emigrated to France in 1959 and began to work in film during the 1960s. He received critical acclaim for his 1970 directorial début Soleil O.

Remig Stumpf was a German cyclist. He competed at the 1988 Summer Olympics in the 100 km team time trial and in the individual road race and finished in sixth and 14th place, respectively. He won the Tour of Berlin, Rund um Köln and Rund um Düren in 1986. In 1989 he finished third in the Kellogg's Tour of Britain. He won the six-day race of Cologne in 1992 and 1993.

Yogesh Chander Deveshwar was an Indian businessman. He was the chairman of ITC Limited. He was the longest-serving CEO of any Indian company.

Linda Porter was an American actress. She appeared in numerous feature films, television programs, advertisements and music videos—most prominently in the series Superstore and Twin Peaks and the film Dude, Where's My Car?. She died of cancer on September 25, 2019.

He is best known for his violent, artful seinen manga, notably Lone Wolf and Cub, Lady Snowblood and Crying Freeman, which − along with their numerous media adaptations − have been credited for their influence on the international growth of Japanese popular culture.

Nils Lennart Johansson was a Swedish sports official who served as the fifth and, to date, the longest serving president of UEFA, the Union of European Football Associations. He served in the position from his election at the UEFA Congress in 1990 until 2007. In June 1998, he contested the FIFA presidential election against Sepp Blatter, losing by 111 votes to 80.

Iván Erőd was a Hungarian-Austrian composer and pianist. Educated in Budapest, he emigrated to Austria in 1956, where he studied at the Vienna Music Academy. He was successful as a pianist and composer of operas, chamber music and much more, with elements from serialism, Hungarian folk music and jazz. He first was a professor of music theory and composition at the University of Music in Graz (1967-1989), then a professor of composition at the Vienna Music Academy from 1989.

Pedro Aguayo Damián better known as "(El) Perro Aguayo" and El Can de Nochistlan was a famous Mexican wrestler through the 1970s to the 1990s. His son also wrestled as Perro Aguayo Jr. or El Hijo del Perro Aguayo. He was one of the biggest box office attractions in lucha libre history and was the last major rival of El Santo. Often prone to blading, Aguayo has been described by American pundits as a cross between Terry Funk and Bruno Sammartino. He was the first person ever crowned the WWF Light Heavyweight Champion, though pre-1997 title reigns are not included in WWE's official history for that title. In 2012, Aguayo was inducted into the AAA Hall of Fame.
