Sami Hoştan, also known as Arnavut Sami Sami the Albanian, was a Turkish suspect in the Ergenekon trials. He was a former partner of casino king Ömer Lütfü Topal; he was acquitted of Topal's murder in 2001. He was a friend of Abdullah Çatlı's; he was one of the first to arrive to collect Çatlı's body from the scene of the 1996 Susurluk car crash. He was arrested as part of the Ergenekon investigation in January 2008.

Muzaffer Tekin is a former member of Turkey's Special Warfare Department, and a suspect in the Ergenekon trials as well as the Turkish Council of State shooting. In August 2013 Tekin was sentenced to consecutive life sentences.

Murray Albert Olmstead was a Canadian professional ice hockey left winger who played for the Montreal Canadiens, Chicago Black Hawks and Toronto Maple Leafs in the National Hockey League (NHL). Olmstead began his career with the Black Hawks in 1949. In December 1950, he was traded to the Montreal Canadiens via Detroit. Olmstead had his best statistical years playing for Montreal, leading the league in assists in 1954–55 with 48, and setting a league record for assists with 56 the following season. Olmstead was claimed in an Intra-League Draft by Toronto Maple Leafs in 1958, and played there until his retirement in 1962.

Ranko Žeravica was a Serbian professional basketball coach. With a career that spanned over 50 years, he is most noted for his work with the senior Yugoslav national team, during the 1960s, 1970s, and early 1980s. In particular, Žeravica's single biggest achievement was guiding the country to its first ever major competition win — a gold medal on home soil, at the 1970 FIBA World Championship — leading to a huge expansion of the game of basketball throughout Yugoslavia.

Keith Remfry was a judoka from the United Kingdom, who won the silver medal in the Open Class at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He lost to Japan's Haruki Uemura, the reigning world openweight champion, in the final of the Olympic tournament.
