Charles (Cahal) Brendan Cardinal Daly KGCHS was an Irish philosopher, theologian, writer and international speaker and, in later years, a Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church.

Miroslav Stefan Marusyn was a Ukrainian Greek Catholic archbishop who served as the Secretary of the Congregation for the Oriental Churches from his appointment on 14 September 1982 until his retirement on 11 April 2001.

Sean Lawlor was an Irish character actor and playwright. He was best known for his portrayal of Malcolm Wallace in Braveheart. He also appeared in Titanic, In the Name of the Father and On Broadway. He appeared in many Irish television films and the RTÉ series Bracken, as well as parts in many Irish films. He produced plays for the stage including his own one-man play, The Watchman, in which he starred.

Zygmunt Chychła was a Polish boxer. He won the first post-World War II Olympic gold medal for Poland.
