Paul Egli was a Swiss professional road bicycle racer. He is most known for his silver and bronze medals in respectively the 1938 and the 1937 UCI Road World Championships. He was also the Swiss National Road Race champion in 1935 and 1936.

Will T Hare was an American actor who appeared on television and films, often playing old crusty figures and father/grandpa roles. Hare was born in Elkins, West Virginia, the son of Frances Laetitia and George Thomas Hare.

Buxton Orr was a Glasgow-born Anglo-Scottish composer and teacher.

William MacArthur Mackenzie was a Scottish singer and songwriter, known for his distinctive high tenor voice. He was the co-founder and lead singer of post-punk and new wave band the Associates. He also had a brief solo career releasing his debut album, Outernational, in 1992, his only solo album released during his lifetime.

Richard Evelyn Vernon was an English actor. He appeared in many feature films and television programmes, often in aristocratic or supercilious roles. Prematurely balding and greying, Vernon settled into playing archetypal middle-aged lords and military types while still in his 30s. He is perhaps best known for originating the role of Slartibartfast in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Other notable roles included Edwin Oldenshaw in The Man in Room 17 (1965-67), Sir James Greenley, alias "C" in The Sandbaggers (1978-80) and Sir Desmond Glazebrook in Yes Minister (1980-81) and its sequel series Yes, Prime Minister (1987).

John Rawlins was an American film editor and director. He directed 44 films between 1932 and 1958. He was born in Long Beach, California and died in Arcadia, California.

Noël Christopher Browne was an Irish politician who served as Minister for Health from 1948 to 1951 and Leader of the National Progressive Democrats from 1958 to 1963. He served as a Teachta Dála (TD) from 1948 to 1954, 1957 to 1973 and 1977 to 1982. He was a Senator for the University of Dublin from 1973 to 1977.
