Viktor Amazaspovich Ambartsumian was a Soviet Armenian astrophysicist and science administrator. One of the 20th century's top astronomers, he is widely regarded as the founder of theoretical astrophysics in the Soviet Union.

Peter Albert Michael Haden-Guest, 4th Baron Haden-Guest, was a British United Nations diplomat and member of the British House of Lords. A dancer and choreographer who performed as Peter Michael with the Markova-Dolin Ballet, Ballet Divertissement, Ballet Theatre, Ballet Joos, and the Repertory Dance Theatre from 1935 until 1945, Haden-Guest was a United Nations official from 1946 to 1972. He inherited his title in 1987.

Hamiyet Yüceses Sabuncu, best known by her stage name Hamiyet Yüceses, was a Turkish female singer of Ottoman classical music. She was a radio and music hall singer releasing a great number of records.

Vergílio António Ferreira, JOSE was a Portuguese writer, essayist, professor and a key figure in Portuguese-language literature. His prolific literary output, comprising works of fiction, philosophical essays and literary diaries, are generally divided into neorealism, dominant in Portuguese fiction at the time, and existentialism.

Yury Davidovich Levitansky was a poet and translator, a master of lyrical parody of genres, and Laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation in the field of literature and art in 1994.

Jeffrey Kindersley Quill, was a British test pilot who served on secondment with the Royal Air Force and Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve during the Second World War. He was also the second man to fly the Supermarine Spitfire after Vickers Aviation's chief test pilot, Joseph "Mutt" Summers. After succeeding Summers as Vickers' chief test pilot, Quill test-flew every mark of Spitfire. Quill's work on the aircraft aided its development from a promising but untried prototype to become, with the Hawker Hurricane, an instrument of the Royal Air Force's victory in the Battle of Britain. The Spitfire later played a leading role in gaining Allied air superiority over Europe. Quill later wrote two books about the Spitfire.

Walter Gerhard Forster was a Brazilian actor. He was born in Campinas to Jacob Forster, of German and Irish descent, and Ida Forster, a Swiss woman. Starting his career as an announcer in Rádio Educadora de Campinas in 1935, Forster worked on several radio stations, including Bandeirantes, Difusora, Excelsior, and Nacional. In 1951, he created and acted in the first Brazilian telenovela, Sua Vida Me Pertence, in which he performed the first on-screen kiss ever aired on Brazilian television with co-star, Vida Alves.
