Noboru Ogasawara was a Japanese physician (dermatologist) specializing in leprosy. He was an assistant professor at the Department of Kyoto Imperial University. He insisted that leprosy was not incurable and diathesis was an important factor in the development of leprosy. He was against strict segregation of leprosy patients and met strong opposition at a Congress of leprosy.

Oliver Napoleon Hill was an American self-help author. He is known best for his book Think and Grow Rich (1937) which is among the 10 best selling self-help books of all time. Hill's works insisted that fervid expectations are essential to improving one's life. Most of his books were promoted as expounding principles to achieve "success".

Hari Vinayak Pataskar was an Indian lawyer, former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Poona and politician who was a member of the Constituent Assembly of India and a former Governor of Madhya Pradesh. In 1963, he was awarded the Padma Vibhushan, the second highest civilian honour in India, for services in Public Affairs.

Chow Chi-yuen was a Hong Kong entrepreneur and the founder of Chow Tai Fook. He was the father-in-law of Cheng Yu-tung (鄭裕彤), chairman of New World Development, and was born in Shunde, Guangdong, China.
