James Harry Covington was a United States Representative from Maryland and Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the District of Columbia. He founded the major law firm of Covington & Burling.

Prince Amedeo, 3rd Duke of Aosta was the third Duke of Aosta and a first cousin, once removed of the King of Italy, Victor Emmanuel III. During World War II, he was the Italian Viceroy of Italian East Africa.

Jozef Gabčík was a Slovak soldier in the Czechoslovak Army involved in the Operation Anthropoid, the assassination of acting Reichsprotektor (Imperial-Protector) of Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia, SS Obergruppenführer Reinhard Heydrich.

Dorando Pietri, often wrongly spelt Petri was an Italian long-distance runner. He finished first in the marathon at the 1908 Summer Olympics in London but was subsequently disqualified.

Richard Tucker was an American actor. Tucker was born in Brooklyn, New York. Appearing in 266 films between 1911 and 1940, he was the first official member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and a founding member of SAG's Board of Directors. Tucker died in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles from a heart attack. He is interred at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, in an unmarked niche in Great Mausoleum, Columbarium of Faith.

Edward Casper Stokes was an American Republican Party politician, who served as the 32nd Governor of New Jersey, from 1905 to 1908.

Ioannis Malokinis was a Greek swimmer. He competed at the 1896 Summer Olympics in Athens. His home island was Spetses. Malokinis competed in the 100 metres freestyle for sailors event. He placed first of three swimmers, with a time of 2:20.4. This time was nearly a minute slower than the mark of 1:22.2 set by Alfréd Hajós in the open 100 metres event.
