Brian Weir Henderson AM was a Gold Logie–winning Australian radio and television personality and pioneer known for his long association with the Nine Network in Australia, as a television news anchor and variety show presenter and as host of Bandstand, the Australian version of the US music program American Bandstand. Henderson was born in New Zealand and was nicknamed "Hendo".

Together with his brother Donald, he owned Advance Publications, founded by their late father in 1922, whose properties include Condé Nast, dozens of newspapers across the United States, former cable company Bright House Networks, and a controlling stake in Discovery Communications.

He was known for developing the theory of complex multiplication of abelian varieties and Shimura varieties, as well as posing the Taniyama–Shimura conjecture which ultimately led to the proof of Fermat's Last Theorem.

Isidor Isaac Rabi was an American physicist who won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1944 for his discovery of nuclear magnetic resonance, which is used in magnetic resonance imaging. He was also one of the first scientists in the United States to work on the cavity magnetron, which is used in microwave radar and microwave ovens.
