Erich Hüttenhain was a German academic mathematician and cryptographer (Cryptography) and considered a leading cryptanalyst in the Third Reich. He was Head of the cryptanalysis unit at OKW/Chi, the Cipher Department of the High Command of the Wehrmacht.

Giuseppe Paupini was an Italian prelate of the Catholic Church who spent most of his career in the diplomatic service of the Holy See before taking a position in the Roman Curia as Major Penitentiary of the Apostolic Penitentiary. He became a cardinal in 1969.
