Willy Schroeders was a Belgian professional road bicycle racer. He was professional from 1955 to 1965. He had 30 professional victories which included three stage wins in the Giro d'Italia as well as wearing the yellow jersey as leader of the general classification in the 1962 Tour de France.

Nicolas Birtz was a Luxembourgian footballer. He played in one match for the Luxembourg national football team in 1948. He was also part of Luxembourg's squad for the football tournament at the 1948 Summer Olympics, but he did not play in any matches.

Nelson Roosevelt Gidding was an American screenwriter specializing in adaptations. A longtime collaboration with director Robert Wise began with Gidding's screenplay for I Want to Live! (1958), which earned him an Oscar nomination. His long-running course on screenwriting adaptions at the University of Southern California inspired screenwriters of the present generation, including David S. Goyer.
