Anne Julie d'Harnoncourt was an American curator, museum director, and art historian specializing in modern art. She was the director and CEO of the Philadelphia Museum of Art (PMA), a post she held from 1982 until her sudden death in 2008. She was also an expert scholar on the works of French artist Marcel Duchamp.

Jan Nieuwenhuys was a Dutch painter and one of the early active founders of the Dutch Experimentalists group (Reflex) that later became part of CoBrA.

Lucjan Roman Lis was a Polish cyclist. He had his greatest success in the 100 km team time trial. In this event he won a silver medal at the 1972 Summer Olympics as well as a bronze and a gold medal at the world championships in 1971 and 1973, respectively. He was less successful in the individual road race, finishing in 36th place at the 1972 Olympics. In 1973 he won the Tour de Pologne individually and the Peace Race with the Polish team.

Ghena Dimitrova was a Bulgarian operatic soprano. Her voice was known for its power and extension used in operatic roles such as Turandot in a career spanning four decades.

Hans Jürgen Kiebach was a German production designer, art director and set decorator. He won an Academy Award in the category Best Art Direction for the film Cabaret.

Alphonse-Marie Parent, was a Canadian priest, educator and academic administrator. He is best known for having given his name to the Parent Report on the reform of Quebec's education system.
