Educated at the University of Toulouse and the Ecole Nationale de la Statistique et de l'Administration Economique (ENSAE) in Paris, he was awarded the Ph.D. in Economics by Harvard University in 1975.

Roy Alan Rosenzweig was an American historian at George Mason University in Virginia. Roy Rosenzweig received his Ph.D. in history from Harvard University in 1978. He was the founder and director of the Center for History and New Media from 1994 until his death in October 2007 from lung cancer, aged 57.
