Germain Derycke
Germain Derycke was a Belgian road bicycle racer. Derycke was a classics specialist. In his second year as a professional he came second in Liège–Bastogne–Liège. In 1953 he won Paris–Roubaix. He twice stood on the podium at the world road race championship, second to Fausto Coppi in 1953 and third in 1955 behind Stan Ockers and Jean-Pierre Schmitz.

Geir Ivarsøy
Geir Ivarsøy was the lead programmer at Opera Software. He and Jon von Tetzchner were part of a research group at the Norwegian state phone company where they developed browsing software called MultiTorg Opera. The project was abandoned by Telenor, but in 1995 Geir and Jon obtained the rights to the software, formed a company of their own, and continued working on it.

Saad Haddad was the founder and head of the South Lebanon Army (SLA) during the Lebanese Civil War. For years Haddad was closely collaborating and receiving arms and political support from Israel against Lebanese government forces, Hezbollah, and the Syrian Army. Haddad died of cancer in his house in Marjayoun.

Luo Jing was a prominent news anchor for China Central Television (CCTV), the main state broadcaster of the People's Republic of China. He was known all over China as an announcer for the 7:00 pm CCTV News program Xinwen Lianbo. As one of China's most well-known TV personalities, Luo's voice was very distinctive amongst Chinese news announcers. During his career he was known for his professionalism and "impeccable etiquette".
