Mahal born Noemi Tesorero, was a Filipino actress, comedienne, and vlogger. She had dwarfism and was noted for her childlike roles and giggly personality.

Julio Fuentes Serrano was a Spanish war correspondent for newspaper El Mundo. On 19 November 2001, along with Maria Grazia Cutuli, Italian correspondent from Il Corriere della Sera, Australian cameraman Harry Burton and Afghan photograph Azizula Haidari, he was kidnapped and murdered by the Taliban in the Sarobi area on the highway between Jalalabad and Kabul in Afghanistan.

Vladimir Yevgenyevich Turchinsky was a Russian wrestler, strongman, television and radio presenter, actor, author, singer and businessman. After completing military service he took various odd jobs, as a photographer, bodyguard, security officer, circus performer, and translator from English and French. He later became a notable media personality capitalizing on his massive physique and a strongman image.

Francisco Manuel Lumbrales de Sá Carneiro, GCTE, GCC, GCL was a Portuguese politician, Prime Minister of Portugal for most of 1980, and founder of the Social Democratic Party. He only held office of Prime Minister for eleven months, dying in a plane crash with his partner, "Snu" Abecassis, on 4 December 1980. A parliamentary inquiry said in 2004 that there was evidence of a bomb in the aircraft, after a 1995 inquiry had concluded there was evidence of sabotage.

Jacintha Saldanha was an Indian nurse who worked at King Edward VII's Hospital in the City of Westminster, London. On 7 December 2012, she was found dead by suicide, three days after falling for a prank phone call as part of a radio stunt. In the prank call, the hosts of the Australian radio programme Hot30 Countdown, broadcast on the Southern-Cross-Austereo-owned station 2Day FM in Sydney, called Saldanha's hospital and impersonated the Queen and the Prince of Wales enquiring about the health of the Duchess of Cambridge, who was a patient there at the time. Saldanha fell for the hoax and transferred the call to the nurse looking after the Duchess.
