Óscar Catacora was a Peruvian film director, screenwriter and cinematographer.

Timothy Edward Lee Hague was a Canadian mixed martial artist and boxer who competed in the heavyweight division, most recently for Absolute Championship Berkut. He became a professional fighter in 2006, and formerly competed for the Ultimate Fighting Championship, World Series of Fighting and King of the Cage, where he went 11–0 and was the King of the Cage Canada Heavyweight Champion. On June 16, 2017, he suffered a brain hemorrhage after being knocked out in a boxing match against Adam Braidwood in Edmonton, Alberta. He died on June 18, 2017.

Marla Hiromi Hayakawa Salas, known professionally as Hiromi Hayakawa, was a Japanese-born Mexican actress, voice actress and singer who began her music career as a contestant in the reality show La Academia. She worked mostly in musical theatre, however she has had occasional television roles. Hayakawa was also a voice actress, who worked primarily on the Spanish American dub of films and series from the United States.

Nicholas C. Wasicsko was an American politician from New York and the youngest-ever mayor of Yonkers, New York. As mayor he fought for the desegregation of public housing.

Theophanis Lamboukas, professionally known as Théo Sarapo, was a French singer and actor, and the second husband of the French singer Édith Piaf. Formerly a hairdresser, he was 26 years old when he married the 46-year-old Piaf. He was introduced to her by Claude Figus, Piaf's secretary.

Luca Prodan was an Italian-Scottish musician and singer who rose to fame as the leading vocalist of Sumo, one of the most influential rock bands of Argentina, and is widely considered as one of the country's most important artists. He was the older brother of film actor and composer Andrea Prodan.

Agatupu Rodney Anoaʻi was an American professional wrestler best known for his time with the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), where he wrestled under the ring name Yokozuna. The name was a reference to the highest rank in professional sumo wrestling in Japan. He is a two-time world champion in his professional wrestling career.

Marco Pantani was an Italian road racing cyclist, widely considered one of the best climbers of all time in professional road bicycle racing. He won both the Tour de France and the Giro d'Italia in 1998, being the sixth Italian after Ottavio Bottecchia, Gino Bartali, Fausto Coppi, Felice Gimondi and Gastone Nencini to win the Tour de France. He is the last cyclist, and one of only seven, to win the Giro and the Tour in the same year.

Jerry Collins was a New Zealand rugby union player. He played for New Zealand, for whom he was capped 48 times, and most recently played for RC Narbonne, in the Rugby Pro D2. Collins and his partner, Alana Madill, were killed in a car accident in southern France in June 2015.

He was a speaker with Ravi Zacharias International Ministries (RZIM) from 2013 until 2016 and the author of three books: Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus: A Devout Muslim Encounters Christianity, Answering Jihad: A Better Way Forward, and No God But One—Allah or Jesus.
