Zekai Özger, better known under his pen name Arkadaş Z. Özger, was a young Turkish poet.

The Zama and Shibuya shootings were the double spree shootings in Japan on July 29, 1965 by Misao Katagiri , which left one police officer dead and 17 people injured, at the conclusion of which he was captured by police officers. Katagiri was later executed.

Mohamed Atef Anwar Sadat was a fighter pilot in the Egyptian Air Force who had the rank of captain. In the Yom Kippur War, he and a colleague were killed in a raid on an Israeli military airport. He is the younger brother of former Egyptian President Anwar Sadat, who was assassinated on the same day eight years later.
