Ibrahim Hamed is a Hamas military commander in the West Bank who ordered suicide bombing attacks during the Second Intifada until he was apprehended by Israeli security sources on 23 May 2006. Israeli authorities accused him of being responsible for 96 civilian deaths.

Elene Gedevanishvili is a Georgian figure skater. She is a two-time European bronze medalist. In winning the medal in 2010, Gedevanishvili became the first skater from Georgia to medal at an ISU Championships. She has competed at three Winter Olympics: Turin 2006, Vancouver 2010 and Sochi 2014.

Dame Carol Ann Duffy is a British poet and playwright. She is a professor of contemporary poetry at Manchester Metropolitan University, and was appointed Poet Laureate in May 2009, resigning in 2019. She is the first woman, the first Scottish-born poet and the first known LGBT poet to hold the position.

Matteo Montaguti is an Italian former professional racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 2008 and 2019 for the LPR Brakes–Farnese Vini, De Rosa–Stac Plastic, AG2R La Mondiale and Androni Giocattoli–Sidermec teams.

He was one of the founding staff members of The Independent, where he worked as religious correspondent, parliamentary sketch writer, and a feature writer. He has written extensively on technology for Prospect and the New Statesman and been a feature writer on the Guardian. He has worked as the editor for the Belief section of The Guardian's Comment is Free which won a Webby under his leadership and is currently a leader writer and member of the paper's editorial board. He is also the press columnist of the Church Times. In The Beginning was the Worm (2004) was shortlisted for the Aventis Prize. Fishing in Utopia (2008) won the Orwell Prize and was nominated for the Dolman Best Travel Book Award in 2009.
