His best achievement is winning the mixed doubles title at the 2018 Singapore Open with Lai, where they beat the 2016 Olympic gold medalists Tontowi Ahmad and Liliyana Natsir in the final in straight games.

Eli Mambwe is a Zambian badminton player. He won a silver medal for the men's singles at the 2007 All-Africa Games in Algiers, Algeria, losing out to the host nation's Nabil Lasmari.
