Peter Beckford (junior) was a politician, slave owner and businessman in early colonial Jamaica.

James Butler, 9th Earl of Ormond and 2nd Earl of Ossory, known as the Lame, was in 1541 confirmed as Earldom of Ormond thereby ending the dispute over the Ormond earldom between his father, Piers Butler, 8th Earl of Ormond, and Thomas Boleyn, 1st Earl of Wiltshire. He died from poison in London.

Walter Butler, 11th Earl of Ormond and 4th Earl of Ossory (1559–1633), succeeded his uncle the 10th earl, in 1614. He was called "Walter of the Beads" because he was a devout Catholic, whereas his uncle had been a Protestant. King James I intervened and awarded half of the inheritance to his uncle's Protestant daughter Elizabeth. Lord Ormond contested the King's decision and was for that imprisoned in the Fleet Prison from 1619 until 1625 when he submitted to the King's ruling. He then found a means to reunite the Ormond estate, by marrying his grandson James, who had been raised a Protestant, to Elizabeth's only daughter.

María Josefina Bolívar is a Venezuelan lawyer, businesswoman and politician. She was presidential candidate twice for the United Democratic Party for Peace and Freedom (PDUPL) in the presidential elections of 2012 and 2013. She also ran for the same party in the regional elections of 2012 and was candidate for the mayoralty of Maracaibo in the municipal elections of 2013. In 2015 she was nominated as candidate for the 4th circuit of Zulia State in the parliamentary elections, and in 2017 she stood as candidate for the Constituent National Assembly.

Il-Alti or Il-Altun was a daughter of Genghis Khan by an unknown concubine of lowly status. Her name was improperly transcribed as Alaltun during the translation of Altan Tobchi from Uighur Mongol script to Cyrillic Mongol script, when indeed her name was Il-Alti or Il-Altun. Historians often mistake Il-Alti for Altalun, the youngest daughter of Borte Ujin.

Basil Feilding, 4th Earl of Denbigh, 3rd Earl of Desmond was a British peer and member of the House of Lords, styled Viscount Feilding from 1675 to 1685.

Peter of Castile, in Spanish Pedro de Castilla, was an infante of Castile, a younger son of King Sancho IV and his wife María de Molina. He held the lordships (señoríos) of Cameros, Almazán, Berlanga, Monteagudo and Cifuentes and was the majordomo of his brother, King Ferdinand IV of Castile. During the minority of his nephew Alfonso XI, he shared the regency of Castile with his mother and uncle, John el de Tarifa, between 1313 and his death.
