He competed at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing in the men's 10 metre air rifle, men's small-bore rifle, three positions, 50 metres and men's small-bore rifle, prone, 50 metres, and at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the men's 10 metre air rifle, winning silver, and in the men's 50 metre rifle three positions, where he won gold with a total of 1278.5 points.

Bernhard Glass is an East German former luger who competed in the late 1970s and early 1980s. He won the gold medal in the men's singles event at the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, New York.

Vadim Viktorovich Bakatin is a Russian politician who served as the last chairman of the KGB in 1991. He is the last surviving former chairman of this organization. He was appointed to dismantle the KGB, but he was unable to control this organization and to fulfill the task due to political reasons. He was able to fulfill plan of KGB disintegration into separate organizations. He ran for the Russian presidency as an independent candidate in June 1991.

He is also the composer of the Georgian entry at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017, "Keep the Faith" sung by Tamara Gachechiladze.
