Jean Carlu was a French graphic designer who specialised in posters. He was a member of a family of architects; his brother Jacques Carlu for example designed the Palais de Chaillot in Paris. He made posters during World War II to promote an increase in American production.

Bae Ki-tae is a former speed skater from South Korea. In 1990, he became the first Korean speed-skater to win a senior championship, winning gold at the World Sprint Speed Skating Championships held in Tromsø, Norway. In addition, Kim participated in the World Allround Speed Skating Championships and won the 500 metres 3 times.
G. Dawson Rowley
George Dawson Rowley was an English amateur ornithologist who published a series called Ornithological Miscellany in which he reprinted notes on bird studies of the time. He studied at Eton and Trinity college and was a friend of John Wolley (1823–1859) along with whom he graduated in 1846. He settled in Brighton and spent considerable time researching the history of the great auk and his ornithological journal included specially chosen works by the leading ornithologists of his time. He translated and published the works of Nikolai Przhevalsky.
