Margarita Eustaquia Maza Parada, later known as Margarita Maza de Juárez, was the wife of Benito Juárez and First Lady of Mexico from 1858 to 1864. She held that position again from 1867 until her death from cancer in 1871, after her husband returned to power following the fall of Emperor Maximilian.

Karl Gustav Adolf Knies was a German economist of the historical school of economics, best known as the author of Political Economy from the Standpoint of the Historical Method (1853). Knies taught at the University of Heidelberg for over 30 years, and was perhaps the most theoretically oriented economist of the older historical school.

Robert James Kern was an American film editor with more than sixty feature film credits. He is known for editing National Velvet (1944), which won him the Academy Award for Best Film Editing. National Velvet was one of thirteen films that Kern edited with director Clarence Brown. He also made seven films with director W. S. Van Dyke, including three of the Thin Man series. Kern was nominated for the Academy Award for David Copperfield (1935), which was directed by George Cukor.
