His supposed experiences were the basis for a book, a television series, and a film. However, gross inaccuracies have led to his story being dismissed as a fraud in Germany.

Desiree Joan Gould was an American theater, film and television actress, singer, and dancer. She was known for her role as Aunt Martha in the 1983 slasher film Sleepaway Camp.

Thomas Alexander Garrett Jr. is an American politician and attorney. He served one term in the United States House of Representatives for Virginia's 5th congressional district. A Republican, Garrett formerly represented the 22nd district in the Virginia Senate.

Alma Levant Hayden was an American chemist, and one of the first African-American women to gain a scientist position at a science agency in Washington, D.C. She joined the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the 1950s. Hayden graduated from Howard University with a master's degree in chemistry, and became an expert in spectrophotometry, the measurement of how substances absorb light. She published work on infrared and other techniques for analyzing chemicals in a range of journals. Hayden was appointed Chief of the Spectrophotometer Research Branch in the Division of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 1963, and may have been the first African-American scientist at the FDA. Hayden came to national attention in 1963 when she led the team that exposed the common substance in Krebiozen, a long-controversial alternative and expensive drug promoted as anti-cancer.

Pedro Mba Obiang Avomo is a Spanish-born Equatoguinean professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Italian club Sassuolo and the Equatorial Guinea national team. He had previously played for Sampdoria, before moving to London, and the Premier League, in 2015. Obiang has represented Spain at under-17, under-19 and under-21 levels before switching to represent the Equatorial Guinea national football team.

He has also served in senior positions in the CBI in Patna and Delhi.

He is best known for his roles as Leonard Woolf in the 2002 film The Hours, Stannis Baratheon in Game of Thrones, and Thomas Jefferson in the 2008 HBO miniseries John Adams, a part which earned him a Primetime Emmy nomination. An experienced stage actor who has been called an "actor's actor", Dillane won a Tony Award for his lead performance in Tom Stoppard's play The Real Thing (2000) and gave critically acclaimed performances in Angels in America (1993), Hamlet (1990), and a one-man Macbeth (2005). His television work has additionally garnered him BAFTA and International Emmy Awards for best actor.
