Gwendoline See-Hian Yeo is an American actress, musician and writer best known for her role as Xiao-Mei in Desperate Housewives, Sun Fu in the film Broken Trail and as the voice of Shinigami in Nickelodeon's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Yeo was cast as Zhilan, a series regular on The CW's Kung Fu, set to debut in the 2020–21 television season.

Otto Freundlich was a German painter and sculptor of Jewish origin. A part of the first generation of abstract painters in Western art, Freundlich was a great admirer of cubism.

Captain Sir Charles MacMahon was an Australian politician who twice served as Speaker of the Victorian Legislative Assembly and as Chief Commissioner of Victoria Police. MacMahon was born County Tyrone, Ireland, to a wealthy Irish family and served in the British army. He obtained a veterinary diploma in 1852, and soon left for Australia to join the gold rush. He arrived in Melbourne on 18 November 1852.

Christian Ludwig Gerling studied under Carl Friedrich Gauss, obtaining his doctorate in 1812 for a thesis entitled: Methodi proiectionis orthographicae usum ad calculos parallacticos facilitandos explicavit simulque eclipsin solarem die, at the University of Göttingen. He is notable for his work on geodetics and in 1927 some 60 letters of correspondence between Gerling and Gauss on the topic were published. He is also notable as the doctoral advisor of Julius Plücker.

James T. Kelley was an Irish-born American silent film actor.

Jacob Merritt Howard was an American attorney and politician. He was most notable for his service as a U.S. Representative and U.S. Senator from the state of Michigan, and his political career spanned the American Civil War.
