His channel surpassed one million subscribers in 2013, and his videos have been reviewed in publications such as Business Insider and The Washington Post. He has been also awarded a Fulbright Prize in 2006 to advance his research on the psychology of translation. He has been also editor-in-chief of the French Journal of Languages' Professors, Les Langues Modernes, from 2001 to 2003. In 2015, he was also Team Leader of the European Union Research Program in West Africa and the Sahel Region.
