Mathieu Guidère
Mathieu Guidere is a full professor at the University of Paris and research director at the French National Institute of Health (INSERM). A scholar of Linguistics as it applies to Translation Studies, he has held other professorships at prestigious institutions including the School of Translation and Interpretation (ETI) at the University of Geneva, Switzerland. Dr. Guidere is the founder of the Swiss NGO Multilingual International Mediators, and has been awarded King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz International Award for Translation due to his individual efforts in translating from Arabic. He has been also awarded a Fulbright Prize in 2006 to advance his research on the psychology of translation. He has been also editor-in-chief of the French Journal of Languages' Professors, Les Langues Modernes, from 2001 to 2003. In 2015, he was also Team Leader of the European Union Research Program in West Africa and the Sahel Region.
