Richard Arnold Shore is a professor of mathematics at Cornell University who works in recursion theory. He is particularly known for his work on , the partial order of the Turing degrees.

• Shore settled the Rogers homogeneity conjecture by showing that there are Turing degrees and such that and , the structures of the degrees above and respectively, are not isomorphic.
• In joint work with Theodore Slaman, Shore showed that the Turing jump is definable in .

Nils Löfgren was a Swedish chemist who developed the anaesthetic Lidocaine in 1943. At this time, he had recently finished his licentiate degree, and was teaching organic chemistry at the University of Stockholm. He and his co-worker Bengt Lundqvist sold the rights to Xylocaine to the Swedish pharmaceutical company Astra AB.

Seirō Takeshi is a Mongolian former professional sumo wrestler. He made his professional debut in July 2005. After a decade of competing in the lower ranks of sumo he reached the top division for the first time in 2015. His highest rank was maegashira 14. He wrestled for Shikoroyama stable. He retired in July 2020.
