Patrick James Zurek has served as Bishop of Amarillo since his installation on 22 February 2008. Zurek trained in Rome as a moral theologian who was a chaplain at the Bambino Gesu Children's Hospital during his seminary days.

Deen J. Castronovo is an American drummer and singer, best known for being a member of classic rock band Journey and hard rock acts Bad English. He currently plays drum for Revolution Saints. Ugo Carrega was an Italian artist and poet.
