She is remembered as the "Angel of Mogadishu" for her role in a notorious hijacking, and is also noted for her abstract beechwood sculptures. She is by marriage a member of the Russian-German Lutzau family that was ennobled in Imperial Russia.

Bernard Lacombe is a French former professional footballer. He played as a striker, mainly with Lyon, Bordeaux and Saint-Étienne and the France national team.

Wang Shaudi is a Taiwanese director, writer and film producer who has been involved in making such production as Life Plan A and B, 1000 Walls in Dream and Tropical Fish. Czesława Kwoka was a Polish Catholic girl who died at the age of 14 in Auschwitz. One of the thousands minor child and teen victims of German World War II war crimes against ethnic Poles in German-occupied Poland, she is among those memorialized in an Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum exhibit, "Block no. 6: Exhibition: The Life of the Prisoners".
