He served as Chairman of the Royal Society of Arts, President of the Chartered Management Institute, and Deputy Chairman of the American Management Association. He also served as the Director General of the Conservative Party and a Ministerial Advisor to the Cabinet Office. He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge.

Vladimir Petrovich Leonov is a retired cyclist from Russia. He competed in the 2000 m tandem sprint at the 1956 and 1960 Summer Olympics and finished in ninth and third places, respectively. During his career he won three national titles: in the sprint and tandem sprint (1961).
