Surendra Mohan Ghose was a member of Jugantar party during Indian independence and close associate of Sarat Chandra Basu,Maharaj Trailokyanath Chakraborty and an Indian Politician. He was elected to the lower House of Parliament the Lok Sabha from Malda, West Bengal as a member of the Indian National Congress. He was a member of the Constituent Assembly of India representing West Bengal.
Eleazar Wheelock
Eleazar Wheelock was an American Congregational minister, orator, and educator in Lebanon, Connecticut, for 35 years before founding Dartmouth College in New Hampshire. He had tutored Samson Occom, a Mohegan who became a Presbyterian minister and the first Native American to publish writings in English. Before founding Dartmouth, Wheelock had founded and run the Moor's Charity School in Connecticut to educate Native Americans. The college was primarily for the sons of American colonists.

William King
William King, was an Anglo-Irish geologist at Queen's College Galway. He was the first to propose that the bones found in the German valley of Neanderthal in 1856 were not of Homo sapiens, but of a distinct species: Homo neanderthalensis. He proposed the name of this new species at a meeting of the British Association in 1863, with the written version published in 1864.
