With an estimated wealth of US$4.7 billion, he is currently one of the ten richest Austrians. In 2020 Forbes classified René Benko as the third richest Austrian and number 361 in the world.

She also represented Austria at the 2000 Sydney Olympics in singles and doubles, reaching the quarterfinals of the singles event. She retired after the 2005 Australian Open and now works for Eurosport as a commentator and presenter.
