Samuel Maoz is an Israeli film director. His 2009 film, Lebanon won the Golden Lion at the 66th Venice International Film Festival. He also won the award for Best Screenplay for Lebanon at the Asia Pacific Screen Awards in 2010.

Gideon Moshe Sa'ar is an Israeli politician who served as a member of the Knesset for the Likud between 2003 and 2014, and was the Education Minister and afterwards the Minister of the Interior, from 2009 to 2014. In 2019 Sa'ar returned to the Knesset and unsuccessfully ran for the leadership of the Likud; he left the Knesset the following year after establishing a new party called New Hope.

Oded Kattash is an Israeli professional basketball coach and former player. During his playing career, at a height of 194 cm tall, he played at the point guard position. He was the 1998 Israeli Basketball Premier League MVP. He is currently working as the head coach of Panathinaikos of the Greek Basket League and the EuroLeague, but he is also the head coach of the senior Israel men's national team. As a player, he won the EuroLeague title in the 1999–2000 season, while playing with Panathinaikos.

Alexander Pines is an American chemist. He is the Glenn T. Seaborg Professor Emeritus, University of California, Berkeley, Chancellor's Professor Emeritus and Professor of the Graduate School, University of California, Berkeley, and a member of the California Institute for Quantitative Biosciences (QB3) and the Department of Bioengineering. He was born in 1945, grew up in Bulawayo in Southern Rhodesia and studied undergraduate mathematics and chemistry in Israel at Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Coming to the United States in 1968, Pines obtained his Ph.D. in chemical physics at M.I.T. in 1972 and joined the UC Berkeley faculty later that year.

Amnon Shashua is an Israeli computer scientist and businessman. He is the Sachs Professor of Computer Science at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem as well as Senior Vice President at Intel Corporation and President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Mobileye, and co-founder of OrCam. In 2020, Shashua announced he was opening Israel's first digital bank.

Esther Roth-Shahamorov is a former Israeli track and field athlete. She specialized in the 100-meter hurdles and the 100-meter sprint.
