Carl Gustav Axel Harnack (7 May [O.S. 25 April] 1851, Dorpat was a Baltic German mathematician who contributed to potential theory. Harnack's inequality applied to harmonic functions. He also worked on the real algebraic geometry of plane curves, proving Harnack's curve theorem for real plane algebraic curves.

Alexander von Bunge was a Baltic German physician, zoologist and Arctic explorer in the employ of Russia. He was the son of botanist Alexander Georg von Bunge (1803–1890).

Hanno Selg was an Estonian modern pentathlete.

Lauri Aus was an Estonian professional cyclist, who represented his native country at three consecutive Summer Olympics, starting in 1992.

Aivar Rehemaa is an Estonian cross-country skier. He competed at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin. He represented Estonia at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. His best finish at the Winter Olympics is 10th in the 4×10 km relay in 2014.

Kati Tolmoff is a badminton player from Estonia. She represented Estonia at the 2008 and 2016 Olympic Games. She competed in the women's singles event, where she lost to Chloe Magee 21–18, 18–21, and 19–21 in the first round. In 2016, she was the runner-up in the group K stage, lose a match to Ratchanok Intanon, and won a match to Yip Pui Yin. In September 2009, Tolmoff announced that because of a lack of money, her professional career was over. But she returned in 2014.Tolmoff also competed at the 2015 Baku European Games.

Jaan Kirsipuu is an Estonian former road bicycle racer, who currently works as a directeur sportif for UCI Continental team Ampler Development Team.
