Ján Levoslav Bella was a Slovak composer, conductor and music teacher, who wrote in the spirit of the Nationalist Romantic movement of the 19th century.

Vojtech Christov is a former Czechoslovak football referee. He is known for having refereed in two FIFA World Cups, one match in 1982 and one in 1986. He was assistant referee in the 1982 FIFA World Cup Final. He also refereed two matches in the 1984 UEFA European Football Championship in France, including the UEFA Euro 1984 Final and one match in the Olympic Football Tournament 1980 in Moscow. At club level, he refereed in the Czechoslovak First League between 1974 and 1992, taking charge of 198 matches during that period.

Miroslav Hlinka was a Slovak professional ice hockey player and assistant coach.

Kamil Mikulčík is a Slovak singer and actor who was the Slovakia entry to the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 with Nela Pocisková. The song, Leť tmou was chosen after a national final. They were the first singers to represent Slovakia at the contest since the Eurovision Song Contest 1998. However, it failed to reach the final.
He is a singer of a vocal group Fragile.

Árpád Feszty was a Hungarian painter. He was born in the town of Ógyalla. His ancestors were German settlers. He was the fifth child of Silvester Rehrenbeck (1819–1910), an affluent landowner at Ógyalla, and his wife Jozefa (Linzmayer). Silvester was ennobled by the emperor on 21 April 1887, and the family thereafter took the name Martosi Feszty. Feszty mostly painted scenes from Hungarian history and religion.
