Elżbieta Towarnicka is a Polish operatic soprano who made an international career based at the Opera Krakowska. She is also known for singing for films, especially with music by Zbigniew Preisner including the theme song of Avalon.

Samuel P. Spiegel was an American independent film producer born in Polish speaking part of Austria-Hungary. Financially responsible for some of the most critically acclaimed motion pictures of the twentieth century, Spiegel's films won the Academy Award for Best Picture three times, a Hollywood first for a sole independent producer.

Nikolai Yakovlevich Myaskovsky or Miaskovsky or Miaskowsky, was a Russian and Soviet composer. He is sometimes referred to as the "Father of the Soviet Symphony". Myaskovsky was awarded the Stalin Prize five times, more than any other composer.

Jacek Lachowicz is a Polish musician, author and producer. He began his musical career playing synthesizer in the alternative rock group Ścianka from 1996 to 2005. He played synthesizer in 2000 in the group Lenny Valentino before the group split in 2001. Currently, he has a solo career as a singer-songwriter under the name "Lachowicz". His songs are associated with alternative music and he made the top of the major Polish music channels with Płyń. In early 2008, Lachowicz and Ania Dabrowska joined together to perform Płyń, which then became for many weeks the most-heard song on Polish radio stations.

Mariusz Lewandowski is a Polish football manager and a former player. He is the manager of Termalica Nieciecza.

Mieczysław Paweł Nowicki is a retired road bicycle racer from Poland, who represented his native country at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. There he won the bronze medal in the men's individual road race behind Sweden's Bernt Johansson and Italy's Giuseppe Martinelli. In the men's road team trial he won the silver medal with the Polish team. He also competed at the 1972 Summer Olympics. In 1973 he set a Polish national hour record of 42.231 km, a record that stood for over 40 years until it was broken by Andrzej Bartkiewicz in 2014.

Stanisława Przybyszewska was a Polish dramatist who is mostly known for her plays about the French Revolution. Her 1929 play The Danton Case, which examines the conflict between Maximilien Robespierre and Georges Danton, is considered to be one of the most exemplary works about the Revolution, and was adapted by Polish filmmaker Andrzej Wajda for his 1983 film Danton.

Eva Fastag was a Polish-born Holocaust survivor and resistant. During World War II, she was interned at the Mechelen transit camp.
