Dariusz Jemielniak is a full professor of management, the head of MINDS department at Kozminski University, faculty associate at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University, a corresponding member of Polish Academy of Sciences.

Herbert Knoblich was a German physicist and politician. A member of the Social Democratic Party of Germany, he served as president of the Landtag of Brandenburg from 1990 to 2004.

Brigitte Broch is a German-Mexican production designer.

Lucjan Roman Lis was a Polish cyclist. He had his greatest success in the 100 km team time trial. In this event he won a silver medal at the 1972 Summer Olympics as well as a bronze and a gold medal at the world championships in 1971 and 1973, respectively. He was less successful in the individual road race, finishing in 36th place at the 1972 Olympics. In 1973 he won the Tour de Pologne individually and the Peace Race with the Polish team.

Franz Skutsch was a German classical philologist and linguist born in Neisse. He was the father of classical philologist Otto Skutsch (1906-1990).

Piotr Mateusz Andrzej Cywiński is a professional historian and Director of the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum since 2006; an active participant and frequent initiator in the Polish-Jewish and Christian-Jewish dialogue; and an ecumenist devoted to reconciliation of the various denominations among the cultures of the Kresy borderlands.

Zenon Jankowski is a retired Polish pilot, colonel of the Polish Army and cosmonaut.
