Henryk Borowski was a Polish theater, radio and film actor.

The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross and its variants were the highest awards in the military of the Third Reich during World War II. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded for a wide range of reasons and across all ranks, from successful military leadership to extreme battlefield bravery. A total of 7,321 awards were made between its first presentation on 30 September 1939 and its last bestowal on 17 June 1945. This number is based on the analysis and acceptance of the order commission of the Association of Knight's Cross Recipients (AKCR). Presentations were made to members of the three military branches of the Wehrmacht—the Heer (Army), Kriegsmarine (Navy) and Luftwaffe —as well as the Waffen-SS, the Reichsarbeitsdienst and the Volkssturm. There were also 43 recipients in the military forces of allies of the Third Reich.

Grigoriy Osipovich Vinokur was a Russian linguist and literary historian. He was educated in Moscow. After a brief spell as an interpreter in Estonia and Latvia he returned there, remaining for the rest of his life.

Adam Stanisław Krasiński (1714–1800) was a Polish noble of Ślepowron coat of arms, bishop of Kamieniec (1757–1798), Great Crown Secretary, president of the Crown Tribunal in 1759 and one of the leaders of Bar Confederation (1768–1772).

Jan Bernard Szlaga was the Roman Catholic bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Pelplin, Poland. He was born the youngest of six children of Jan and Helena (Sciesińska) Szlaga.

Jerzy Andrzejewski was a prolific Polish author. His works confront controversial moral issues such as betrayal, the Jews and Auschwitz in the wartime. His novels, Ashes and Diamonds, and Holy Week, have been made into film adaptations by the Oscar-winning Polish director Andrzej Wajda. Holy Week and Ashes and Diamonds have both been translated into English. His novel The Gates of Paradise was translated into English by James Kirkup and published by Panther Books with the anglicised spelling "George Andrzeyevski".

Edward Barcik is a retired Polish cyclist. He had his best achievements in the 100 km team time trial, namely a silver medal at the 1972 Summer Olympics and a bronze medal at the 1971 UCI Road World Championships. Individually he won the Tour of Małopolska in 1972 and Szlakiem Grodów Piastowskich in 1975. He was awarded the Polish Cross of Merit.

Ryszard Bakst was a Polish pianist and distinguished piano teacher.

Ignacy Błażej Franciszek Krasicki, from 1766 Prince-Bishop of Warmia and from 1795 Archbishop of Gniezno, was Poland's leading Enlightenment poet, a critic of the clergy, Poland's La Fontaine, author of the first Polish novel, playwright, journalist, encyclopedist, and translator from French and Greek.
