Ding Ling, formerly romanized as Ting Ling, was the pen name of Jiang Bingzhi, also known as Bin Zhi, one of the most celebrated 20th-century Chinese women authors. She was awarded the Soviet Union's Stalin second prize for Literature in 1951.

Gao Feng is a former Chinese international footballer who played as a striker for Beijing Guoan, Qianwei Huandao, Shenyang Haishi before retiring with Tianjin Teda. In his personal life was also married to Chinese vocalist Na Ying and had a son together, but the couple divorced in 2005.

Yu Dayou (1503–1579), courtesy name Zhifu, art name Xujiang, was a Chinese general and martial artist best known for countering the wokou pirates along China's southeastern coast during the reign of the Jiajing Emperor in the Ming dynasty.

Wu Xuelan, better known by her pen name Liu Lianzi, is a Chinese novelist. Her most well-known works are Empresses in the Palace and Ruyi's Royal Love in the Palace.

Zaiyi, better known by his title Prince Duan, was a Manchu prince and statesman of the late Qing dynasty. He is best known as one of the leaders of the Boxer Rebellion of 1899–1901.

Songtsen Gampo, also Songzan Ganbu, was the 33rd Tibetan king and founder of the Tibetan Empire, and is traditionally credited with the introduction of Buddhism to Tibet, influenced by his Nepali consort Bhrikuti, of Nepal's Licchavi dynasty, as well as with the unification of what had previously been several Tibetan kingdoms. He is also regarded as responsible for the creation of the Tibetan alphabet and therefore the establishment of Classical Tibetan, the language spoken in his region at the time, as the literary language of Tibet.
