Zhou Meiyu (1910-2001) was a Chinese nurse, "among the most influential Chinese nurses of the early twentieth century". She was the first woman in the Republic of China to attain the rank of General.

Pan Yue is executive vice president of the Central Academy of Socialism in Beijing. An environmental journalist-turned-activist, Pan has spent much of his public career agitating for environmental causes, for which he has gained international recognition. He was the recipient of the 2010 Ramon Magsaysay Award. He served as Vice Minister of Environmental Protection between 2008 and 2015. He is the current director of Overseas Chinese Affairs Office.

Fan Yunlong is a Chinese footballer who currently plays for China League One side Guizhou Hengfeng.

Liu Yijun is a Chinese actor. He graduated from the Beijing Film Academy. Liu is known for his television roles in The Disguiser (2015), Nirvana in Fire (2015) and Surgeons (2017); and has been nominated for the Golden Eagle Awards and Magnolia Awards.

Tie Ning is a Chinese author based in Beijing, China. She has, since 2006, been the president of the China Writers Association and is a member of the 18th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. Her works include short stories, "Ah, Xiangxue", The Red Shirt Without Buttons, "June's Big Topic", Wheat Straw Stack, Cotton Stack, "The Village Road Takes Me Home", Rose Door, "How Long is Forever" and Da Yu Nü.

Lap-Chee Tsui is a Chinese-born Canadian geneticist and served as the 14th Vice-Chancellor and President of the University of Hong Kong.

Tian Houwei is a badminton player from China. He was the 2009 World and Asian Junior Champions in the boys' singles event. Tian was part of the Chinese national team that won the silver medals at the 2013 Summer Universiade and 2014 Asian Games.

Wu Qian is a Chinese military officer currently serving as director and spokesman of the Information Bureau of Ministry of National Defense of the People's Republic of China.

Bian Zhongyun was a deputy principal at the Experimental High School Attached to Beijing Normal University, in Beijing, China. She was attracted to the Chinese Communisty Party during the Sino-Japanese War and joined the party in 1941, and before working for the high school in Beijing, she worked at an editor for the People's Daily then located in rural Hebei. She became the first victim of the Cultural Revolution in 1966 during Beijing's "Red August", when she was beaten to death with wooden sticks by her students, who were led by Song Binbin. Prior to her death, Bian had been the party leader at the school, but was denounced as a "counter-revolutionary revisionist" by Red Guards.
