Li Rui
Li Rui was a Chinese historian and politician. He joined the Communist Party in 1937 and became the personal secretary to Mao Zedong on industrial affairs. After retiring from political life, Li became a writer and a vocal advocate of democratic reform in China.

Cai Xia is a Chinese dissident and scholar of political theory. She has taught high-ranking members and officials of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), including leading provincial and municipal administrators and cabinet-level ministers, and is a retired professor of the CCP Central Party School. She is an advocate for political liberalisation in China and has been critical of CCP General Secretary Xi Jinping. She was expelled from the CCP in August 2020 for criticising the CCP under Xi's rule. She has resided in the U.S. since 2019.

Zhang Yiming is a Chinese billionaire internet entrepreneur. He founded ByteDance in 2012 and developed the news aggregator Toutiao and the video sharing platform TikTok (Douyin/抖音), formerly known as Musical.ly. As of 2019, with more than 1 billion monthly users, ByteDance is valued at US$75 billion, making it the most valuable startup in the world. Zhang's personal wealth is estimated at $22.6 billion, making him the ninth richest person in China.
Chen Duxiu
Chen Duxiu was a Chinese revolutionary socialist, educator, philosopher and author, who co-founded the Communist Party of China in 1921. From 1921 to 1927, he served as the Communist Party's first General Secretary. Chen was a leading figure in both the Xinhai Revolution that overthrew the Qing dynasty and the May Fourth Movement for scientific and democratic developments in the early Republic of China. After his expulsion from the Communist Party in 1929, Chen was for a time the leader of China's Trotskyist movement.
