Li Xiaolu, also known as Jacqueline Li, is a Chinese actress and singer. She is best known for her role in Joan Chen's directing debut Xiu Xiu: The Sent Down Girl (1998), idol drama All the Misfortunes Caused by the Angel (2001) and the popular youth series Struggle (2007). At age 16, she was the youngest actress to win the Golden Horse Award for Best Leading Actress.

Rebecca Zhu is a Chinese-born Hong Kong actress and a beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Hong Kong 2011. As a result of her pageant win, Zhu was offered a starring role in the 2012 TVB television drama Silver Spoon, Sterling Shackles, which was also her acting debut.

Ding Xuexiang is an important political aide of Xi Jinping, current General Secretary of the Communist Party of China. Ding is the current director of the General Office of the Communist Party of China. Ding served on Xi's staff beginning in Shanghai, then followed him to Beijing. He is also a member of the 19th Party Politburo, and a Secretary of the Party Secretariat.

Eric Henry Liddell was a Scottish Olympic Gold Medalist runner for Britain, Scottish rugby union international player, and Christian missionary. He was born in China to Scottish missionary parents. He attended boarding school near London, spending time when possible with his family in Edinburgh, and afterwards attended the University of Edinburgh.

James Si-Cheng Chao is a Chinese-American entrepreneur and philanthropist. He is the founder of the Foremost Group, a New York-based shipping, trading, and finance enterprise. The James S.C. Chao Scholarship is named after him.

Heshen (Manchu: ᡥᡝᡧᡝᠨ, Möllendorff: Hešen; Chinese: 和珅; pinyin: Héshēn; Wade–Giles: Ho²-shen¹; 1 July 1750 – 22 February 1799) of the Manchu Niohuru clan, was an official of the Qing dynasty favored by the Qianlong Emperor and called the most corrupt official in Chinese history. After the death of Qianlong, the Jiaqing Emperor confiscated Heshen's wealth and forced him to commit suicide. As an official, he acquired an estimated at 1.1 billion taels of silver, equal to roughly US$270 billion. Heshen is remembered as one of the richest men in history.

"Jenny" Lang Ping is a former Chinese volleyball player and the current head coach of China women's national volleyball team. She was the former head coach of the United States women's national volleyball team, herself being the MVP of women volleyball in 1984 Olympics.

Lin Huiyin was a Chinese architect and architectural historian. She is known to be the first female architect in modern China and her husband the famed "Father of Modern Chinese Architecture" Liang Sicheng, both of whom worked as founders and faculty in the newly formed Architecture Department of Northeastern University in 1928 and, after 1949, as professors in Tsinghua University in Beijing. Liang and Lin began restoration work on cultural heritage sites of China in the post-imperial Republican Era of China; a passion which she would pursue to the end of her life. The American artist Maya Lin is her niece.

Elmer Fung or Fung Hu-hsiang is a Taiwanese retired politician. A member of the New Party, he represented Taipei City in the Legislative Yuan from 1999 to 2002. In 2000, he and Li Ao formed the New Party presidential ticket, which finished fifth.
