Chen Ying is a female Chinese sports shooter who won the gold medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics and at the 2006 ISSF World Shooting Championships in 25 m Pistol.

David Siu Chung-hang is a former Hong Kong TVB actor. He is best known for his role as Ting How-hai (丁孝蟹) in the 1992 TVB series The Greed of Man. He entered TVB in 1987 and starred in a number TV series including Behind Silk Curtains, A Trial of Lifetime, Bet On Fate, The Greed of Man, The Link, and Remembrance. In 1994, he turned to work for ATV and devoted himself to running a 4-wheel drive conversion shop in Hong Kong.

Gu Juan is a China born Singaporean badminton player.

Chao-Li Chi was a Chinese-born American actor and dancer who worked extensively in American television, including his best known role as Chao-Li, the faithful majordomo and chauffeur of Jane Wyman's character in Falcon Crest. Additionally, his film credits include Big Trouble in Little China, The Joy Luck Club, The Nutty Professor, Wedding Crashers and The Prestige. He was featured in the short film by Maya Deren, Meditation on Violence, in 1948.

Wang Hongwen was a Chinese labour activist and politician who spent most of his career in Shanghai. He was an important political figure during the Cultural Revolution (1966–76). He was the youngest member of the political clique called the "Gang of Four." During the Cultural Revolution, Wang rose from a member of the working class to become one of the foremost members of national leadership of the Communist Party of China.

Yao Lei is a China-born Singaporean former badminton player. She won the women's doubles silver and mixed doubles bronze at the 2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games. She also represented Singapore in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London with Shinta Mulia Sari. Her parents Yao Yiping and Gu Xiaojing were both international badminton players. In 2003, as a 13-year-old she emigrated to Singapore under the Foreign Sports Talent Scheme.

Ren Jianxin is a retired Chinese lawyer, judge, and politician. He served as President of the Supreme People's Court from 1988 to 1998.
