Qin Guangrong is a former Chinese politician. He previous served as deputy chair of the committee on internal legal affairs of the National People's Congress, from 2014 to 2018, the Communist Party Secretary of Yunnan province, the province's top political office, from 2011 to October 2014. Prior to that he was the Governor of Yunnan. Qin is related to that of his son Qin Ling, former chairman of Huarong Investment Stock Corp. His son Qin Ling was under investigation as part of the corruption scandal at the Huarong Asset Management Co. Ltd., one of China's four state-run bad-asset disposal companies. He is the first leader of provincial level to spontaneously hand himself in to the anti-corruption agency of China.

Jiang Fangzhou is a Chinese infant prodigy author. She is currently a student in Tsinghua University and the author of nine books, among which Unlatched the Window onto the Paradise is her prose works published when she was 9 and was later adapted for a comic book; and We are Growing is her first novel published in September 2001 and in November its traditional Chinese edition appeared in Taiwan; and Preadolescence in May 2002; Look over Here in October 2002; I am an Animal a long fairy tale in October, 2003, was later adapted for a stage play; The True Story of the Mischievous Child, a column, began to appear both in The Beijing News and Southern Metropolis Daily in November, 2003, was formally published in October 2004; The Rainbow Rider in July 2006; Number One Schoolgirl in July 2007, and Features of Rumors in January 2009.

Lee Cheuk-yan is a Hong Kong politician and social activist. He was a member of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong from 1995 to 2016, when he lost his seat. He represented the Kowloon West and the Manufacturing constituencies briefly in 1995 and had been representing the New Territories West constituency from 1998 to 2016. He is a trade union leader and General Secretary of the Hong Kong Confederation of Trade Unions, as well as former chairman of the Hong Kong Alliance in Support of Patriotic Democratic Movements of China.

Ling Jiefang, better known by his pen name Eryue He, was a Chinese historical fiction writer. He is best known for writing biographical novels of three Qing dynasty emperors, all of which have been adapted into award-winning television series.

Zhu Chenghu is the dean of China's National Defense University of the People's Liberation Army. He holds the rank of Major General.

Chen Aisen is a Chinese diver. He is a double gold medal winner at the 2016 Summer Olympics. He won gold in the men's synchronised 10m platform competition with diving partner Lin Yue, as well as gold in the men's individual 10m platform. He has also won golds in the World Championships partnered with Yang Hao and Cao Yuan.

Herman Kwan Hoi-San was a Hong Kong actor. His English name was Herman Kwan. Kwan started off as a Cantonese opera actor in street theatre before joining New Voice Opera Troupe (新聲劇團). He also started singing for early Hong Kong film soundtracks and moved on to act in films, mostly adaption of opera in Cantonese. He became famous and acted in many lead roles. When Hong Kong films started to move towards Mandarin, Kwan's career faltered and joined TVB and acted in various roles. Directors and filmmakers rediscovered his talent and cast him in many supporting roles in films. In 2001, Kwan suffered a stroke and was left mute and paralysed. He died in 2006.

Ma Jian is a former Chinese security official. In January 2015, he was put under investigation by the Communist Party of China's anti-corruption agency. He served as the vice minister of State Security, and also vice president of China Law Society. He was a member of the 12th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, but is currently in prison serving a life sentence for corruption.

Wang Wei is a Chinese billionaire entrepreneur, who is the founder and chairman of SF Express, a Shenzhen-based multinational delivery services and logistics company.

Cheng Lei is a Chinese-born Australian television news anchor and business reporter. She served as a prominent news anchor for Chinese state owned English-language news channel CGTN in Beijing from 2012 to 2020 and also hosted the Global Business program which airs on CGTN. She had previously worked for nine years as CNBC's China correspondent.
