Renaud Girard, born 25 May 1955 in New York City, is a French journalist and writer. He studied at the Ecole Normale Supérieure and the Ecole Nationale d'Administration. He has worked as a war correspondent and written books about the Middle East, geopolitics and international relations.

Rika Omoto is a Japanese swimmer. She competed in the women's 200 metre individual medley at the 2019 World Aquatics Championships held in Gwangju, South Korea. She also competed in the women's 50 metre freestyle and women's 100 metre freestyle events. In both events she did not advance to compete in the semi-finals. She qualified to represent Japan at the 2020 Summer Olympics.

Dirk Matschenz is a Dutch male skeleton racer, who took part in the 2005/2006 Skeleton World Cup trying to qualify for the 2006 Winter Olympics. He previously competed for Germany, winning the German Championship in 2001.

Chen Gang is a former Chinese politician. Best known for his term in Beijing beginning in 2006, Chen played a prominent role in the construction of the venues of the Beijing Olympics and subsequent urban development projects. Elevated to the municipal standing committee in 2012, Chen seemed destined for higher office. However, he was abruptly moved to the North-South Water Transfer project in 2017. He was disgraced in 2019 and currently under investigation for graft.

René Barrientos Ortuño was a Bolivian military officer and politician who served as the 47th President of Bolivia twice nonconsecutively from 1964 to 1966 and from 1966 to 1969. During much of his first term, he shared power as co-president with Alfredo Ovando from 1965 to 1966 and prior to that served as the 30th Vice President of Bolivia in 1964.
