Ahmet Efe Aydan is a Turkish former professional basketball player. He is regarded by many as the best Turkish basketball player ever, with a total of 224 caps with the senior Turkish national team. He was Turkey's national team captain in 89 games, and he scored 2,195 points with the senior Turkish national team.

Abderrahmane Hammad Zaheer is a former Algerian track and field athlete who competed in the high jump. He represented his country at the Summer Olympics in 2000, taking the bronze medal and made a second appearance at the 2004 Athens Olympics. His personal best of 2.34 m is the Algerian record for the event. He retired from the sport in 2010.

Fevzi Türkeri is a former Turkish general. He graduated from the Turkish Military Academy in 1962 and the Kara Harp Akademisi in 1975. During the 1980s and 1990s he was twice Chief of the Special Forces of the Turkish Army. He was General Commander of the Gendarmerie of Turkey from 26 August 2004 to 24 August 2006.

Tarek al-Zumar is an Egyptian Islamist politician and the secretary-general of the Building and Development Party. The party has a non-political wing named al-Gama'a al-Islamiyya. Al-Zumar was a member of Egyptian Islamic Jihad. His cousin is Aboud El Zomor, who was imprisoned along with him.
