Manuel Pradal was a French film director and screenwriter. He wrote the scenarios for all the films he directed. Pradal died on 13 May 2017 in Paris after a long illness, aged 53.

Denis Petrovich Butsayev, is a Russian statesman, who served as the acting governor of Belgorod Oblast from 22 September 2020 to 18 November 2020. He was also the First Deputy Governor of the Belgorod Region from 17 to 20 November 2020.

Agustín Mario Cejas was an Argentine football goalkeeper. He played for a number of clubs in Argentina and Brazil and has the all-time record number of appearances for Racing Club de Avellaneda.

Tsukasa Hojo is a Japanese manga artist. He studied technical design while still at Kyushu Sangyo University, where he began to draw manga. He worked on several one-shot stories before releasing his serialized works: Cat's Eye, City Hunter and Angel Heart.

Andrei Sergeyevich Semyonov is a Russian professional football player. He plays as a centre-back for Akhmat Grozny.

Rednex is a Swedish musical group, originally consisting of the lead singer Mary Joe, alongside Bobby Sue, Ken Tacky, Billy Ray and Mup. The group enjoyed success throughout the 1990s with novelty hits such as "Cotton Eye Joe", "Old Pop in an Oak", "The Spirit of the Hawk" and "Wish You Were Here". Pat Reiniz also served as the band's producer.

Johann Louis François Vogel is a Swiss former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He spent most of his professional with Grasshopper Club Zürich and PSV. In his later career, he played for Milan, Betis, and Blackburn Rovers before returning to Grasshoppers. At international level, he amassed 94 caps scoring twice for the Switzerland national team.

Yevgeny Alexandrovich Chuplinsky is a Russian serial killer who committed his crimes in Novosibirsk, Russia, having murdered 19 women between 1998 and 2006. The victims were sex workers, and Chuplinsky is dubbed the Maniac of Novosibirsk or the Novosibirsk Maniac. Despite a large-scale investigation by police and several arrests, the perpetrator of the killings was arrested only in 2016, being sentenced to a term of life imprisonment on 6 March 2018.
